Don't pose! Keep the camera at the ready to capture what I call the "In-Between" Moments.#candid
#2: Place your Subjects Correctly
To avoid losing your subject in the background and draw the eye to them, ask them to wear bright, contrasting colors and try to place them so they stand out.
#3: Start Early
Avoid the crowds and start your hike as early as possible – preferably before sunrise. Bonus: you beat the heat in the summer months!
#4: Try to Show the Scale
To trick the eye and give viewers a sense of scale, use a person as a reference point. Hint: The smaller the person, the bigger the landscape!
#5: Tell A Story
Capture the different stages of your journey so you can later tell a story. Take pictures when you start the hike, when you take breaks, and on the trail.
Your Phone will do a great job and it will always be at your side. If you want to step it up, check out my Amazon Store for Gear Ideas. GoPro, Drone, Canon EOS R and more!!
